Wrote a monthly one-page themed cocktail column “Liquid Kitchen” with Patterson’s
Beverage Journal (now The Tasting Panel) from 2003–2007, as well a regular quarterly
column “Last Call” with Style & Trend magazine in 2005, an occasional contributor roll in
2004-05 with Bar & Beverage magazine out of Winnipeg, and The Publican, a quarterly
beverage magazine out of Surrey, BC.

Participated in an on-camera segment of layered mixology for a Cognac documentary
titled “The Art of Blending” produced by Grape Radio, to be submitted to the James Beard

Co-created the first in a series of Cocktail Art Calendars, starting annually in 2009.

Wrote a Treatment for a One-Hour Dramatic Television Series titled “Life Behind Bars”

Played two different acting roles; the bartender from the dead, and the drummer in a rock n’
roll band, in a Director’s Short Film titled “The Hounds of Bakersfield”.

From this trip, I created a fully-captioned pictorial as a Picasa Web Album on Google,
and the online Super Feature cover story "The Sleeping Spirit", on the Sante website.

In 2011, beginning writing on a book from 25 years as a bartender in LA, tentatively titled
On Call – Chronicles of L.A.’s #1 private bartender

Designed and drafted a board game titled Cocktail Hotel, and as an on-line game.

Wrote a feature cover story for the September issue of Sante magazine in the Distillations
section, titled “Luminous Layers”. In October’s issue, co-wrote a 1-page article
in the Behind the Bar section, titled “Open Bar – A Case for the Consultant”.

Wrote a 1-page piece on Jagermeister titled “Heart of a Hunter” for the November issue,
“Spring in your Step” for the March 2009 issue, and "Fun Summer Trends" for the June 09
issue of The Publican magazine.

Wrote two short stories for entry into this year’s Writer’s Digest Annual Writing Competition –
“Whip that Groove” and “Silo”.

Pilot Show

Co-Produced/Co-Hosted the cocktail and spirits show Liquid Kitchen in 2004 with co-
producers Bruce Heighley and Drew Rosenfeld.

Production

Started a series of cocktail photography for use with various products such as recipe cards,
postcards, calendars and as an POS tool.

Produced The original Cocktail Art custom drink recipe cards as a 50-card Volume 1 box set,
and for use in the liquor /beverage sections of grocery stores across the country.

2007– Started work with Patron tequila as head bartender for many Los Angeles events.
Also worked with Bacardi, Absolut, Stockholm Kristal, VooDoo, Belvedere, Captain Morgans,
10 Cane, Diageo, RedRum, and others.

Cocktails of the American West is completed and should be released in late 2009.
My sixth book, it is the first using my own stylized cocktail photography.

Blog – “Cocktail Hotel” –  the first Web-based weekly cocktail column, was published

Completed my first AudioBook on CD in 2006, the unabridged narration of the 2005 book
Spirits and their Popular Drinks. This title also comes as a Special Edition 3-Disc Set, with
the Liquid Masters CD Book and the Cocktail Art DVD The Entertainer.

Finished the “Liquid Kitchen” Text–Audio–Video bartender training materials course for at-
home distance education and for use with on-premise independent bartending schools.

Completed the editing of my book Liquid Kitchen for release in 2006.

Finished my fifth book Spirits and their Popular Drinks in 2005

Writer/co-Producer of CocktailArt, the DVD series of “Live and Close-Up” cocktail
preparations, including 2004’s The Entertainer and 2002’s Summer Quenchers. Available
